United States History Everyone Should Know:

1. Is an activity in this series that is in part, designed to help learners overcome one of the fundamental problems encountered in the study of history; difficulty in recollecting numerous facts. This is often due to inability to place them into appropriate eras in history or to appropriately categorize them. The activity extensively associates events to presidential eras, and also creatively groups items into memorable categories. These are techniques that have been proven to be very effective in promoting the retention of learned facts.

2. One other intended goal of this activity is encouraging students to do research and work independently. Getting correct answers to all the text boxes in the Activity Fields may require consulting several textbooks, as well as the internet.
